Dorset Police Launch Christmas Drink Driving Campaign

Dorset Police launch a month-long Christmas anti-drug and drink-driving campaign today.

Motorists will be asked to take a breathalyser and drugs test by police at the roadside if the driver has committed any road traffic offence in a moving vehicle. That’s irrespective of whether officers suspect you have taken drugs or have been drinking alcohol.

Dorset’s Police and Crime Commissioner, Martyn Underhill, believes that there will be fewer vehicles on the roads this Christmas which means a ‘far greater chance’ of any driver being caught if they are over the limit.
