How Farmers Are Helping Farmland Birds In The Cranborne Chase AONB

Farmers are reversing a decline in farmland birds in the Cranborne Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Tonight, Peter Thompson, former biodiversity advisor for the Game and Wildlife Conservation Trust, will present a free online talk. Peter will examine why farmland birds are faring so badly at present.

A change in farming practice is partially to blame. “In the past, perhaps (farmers) made mistakes. And they’re very willing to put this right,” says Peter.

You can watch his talk at 7.30pm on Zoom.
