Blue Plaque Proposed For Shaftesbury Reformer Who Helped To Change Britain

There are eleven blue plaques on buildings in Shaftesbury. Sir John Stuttard wants an additional sign to recognise the Shaftesbury reformer, John Rutter.

Rutter opposed slavery and was influential in changing British life and improving our town. He achieved a great deal, as Sir John explains.
