Motcombe Woman Learns Her Grandad’s Great War Story From Welsh Researcher

Percy Williams was a well-known Shaftesbury builder and former mayor of the town.

His granddaughter Tessa Baumann now knows more about her grandfather’s World War I experiences thanks to Stephen Lyons – a Welsh historian.

Stephen is documenting the men and women who served in the St John Field Ambulance. He had been keen to trace Percy’s relatives.
