Bill Ridgewell is an inspiration.
The 95-year old Breach Lane resident’s vision is severely impaired. He has macular degeneration and tells Alfred, “I haven’t seen my own face in years.” Yet Bill is still painting pictures.
Soon, he will send some of his artwork to an exhibition and sale in Brighton.
In our interview, Bill tells us how the Blind Veterans charity has offered encouragement and has connected him with other blind artists. They share technique tips during their regular phone conversations.
