Dorset Councillors To Determine Muston’s Lane Live Music Event Licence

Dorset Council’s Licencing Committee will decide whether an outdoor music event in Shaftesbury town centre can take place on 21st June.

John Morgan wants to celebrate North Dorset’s young musical talent and raise cash for mental health charities with his proposed nine-hour performance. Up to 99 attendees would attend the gigs at his courtyard off Muston’s Lane. The government is expected to remove social distancing rules on this date.

Dorset Council officers have objected to the licence request because of noise concerns. The application would allow an event featuring alcohol and entertainment. It will now be determined during a council meeting on Friday morning.
