Shaftesbury Singer Excited By Return To Live Performance Today

The last year has been challenging for professional performers.

Classically trained singer Una Walsh from West Melbury has not performed in public for over a year and lost her source of income during the lockdown. She says St Patrick’s Day 2020 was when ‘the music died’ for her.

But today, Una and her partner Tony Dean will entertain the crowds at Shaftesbury’s Ye Old Two Brewers Inn at 3pm. The performance by ‘No Fixed Abode’ means a lot to Una and she admits that she may get emotional. “I’m actually quite nervous,” she says, but she is looking forward to the support of the ‘fantastic’ Shaftesbury crowd.
