Winning Penguin Picture For West Melbury Artist

West Melbury artist Gary Cook has been admitted to an elite artistic group after four years on the waiting list.

And one of his pieces has won a prize as the best entrant in a prestigious art exhibition. Unusually, this work doesn’t feature Gary’s trademark portrayal of trees. He swapped ash for a view of Antarctica. But there is a climate emergency message behind the work, as Gary explains.
