400 Years Of Supporting Shaftesbury Residents’ Studies – The William Williams Charity

A Shaftesbury-area charity is celebrating its 400th birthday as it prepares to give out more grants to locals who need help with their education costs.

James Thrift tells us about the history of the William Williams Charity, which awarded around £50,000 to 37 Shaftesbury area students last year. A separate pot of money supports Blandford and Sturminster Newton locals, as James explains.
