Amended Plans For Shaftesbury Housing On Site Previously Considered ‘Cramped’

A developer wants to build new homes next to Shaftesbury Fire Station on Wincombe Lane.

Last November Shaftesbury Town Council objected to plans for housing on the former glove factory site. They felt it was an industrial area.

Several councillors argued that it was too cramped for the proposed six homes. Dorset Council planners agreed. The applicant has changed their design and is now proposing fewer properties.
