Councillor Concerned About B3091 Safety Following Thursday’s Collision

One of Shaftesbury’s Dorset councillors has asked Dorset Highways for solutions to make the St James to Guy’s Marsh road safer.

Cllr Derek Beer says, ‘we can’t shrug our shoulders’, following a collision between a lorry and a tree in the narrow section of the B3091, to the west of the town this week.

One resident has suggested a speed reduction for this narrow 60mph zone, which has become more popular for walkers during the lockdown.
