Clouds House at East Knoyle has been treating people with addictions for 38 years and Shaftesbury plays an important role in the rehabilitation of Clouds’ clients back into society.
But counsellor Michael Rawlinson tells Alfred’s Harvey Woolfe that COVID measures have altered the centre’s treatment programme.
A survey by the charity which operates Clouds reveals an increase in drinking during lockdown. Michael says alcohol is ‘playing a part of managing the emotion of the population’. He shares advice for people who feel they’re drinking too much.
