Differing Opinion On What To Do About Park Walk’s Rare White Rat

The white rat spotted on Park Walk has been a talking point in Shaftesbury ever since Rob Frost posted his picture online.

Rob tells Alfred about his discovery of ‘Snowdrop’. He’s concerned that the rat stands out. “I don’t think it realises it’s white. It’s so bold, it’ll come out and a Jack Russell, an owl, a cat or some predator will see it,” warns Rob.

Opinion is split over whether the rodent should be rescued or left alone. Lynn Broom of Longmead Vets offers her advice.
