The Friends of Guys Marsh Prison charity chairman has welcomed proposals to build new accommodation to increase the prison’s capacity.
Giles Fearn says this expansion offers his organisation a chance to make a difference to more men.
He believes the additional jobs created will offer a welcome boost to the Shaftesbury area economy.
