Hannah McClean had a terrible shock when she was walking towards Motcombe Primary School with her children recently.
A reversing vehicle collided with her daughter’s pushchair. Thankfully, Hannah’s one-year-old was not injured. But this incident prompted Hannah to urge the Parish Council to act before there’s a serious injury.
Dorset Highways has rejected several road safety suggestions previously. Parish councillors have new ideas for addressing the school traffic issue, as you’ll hear in our report. How these solutions will be funded is less clear, but the issue will be aired at the next Parish Council meeting on 12th October.
