The Gillingham and Shaftesbury Show is on next week. It’s Matthew Price’s first year as show president.
In our Alfred interview, Matthew says he is proud of how his team has responded to the challenges of a pandemic. And he’s been impressed at the range of activities which have been arranged for the Turnpike Showground over the last year to generate income for the charity.
Matthew thinks that booking NFU national present, Minette Batters, as a show speaker next Wednesday is a coup. But he says the show’s most important role will be as a ‘good, community social event’.
