New Move In Controversial Plan To Build On Shaftesbury’s St James Street

The owner of land next to the Rolt Millennium Garden in St James Street has applied for permission to build a house there.

It’s the third application in the recent series of attempts to gain planning consent. There have been six requests to build on this 217sqm plot since 1997. Recently, over thirty residents and Shaftesbury Town Council opposed plans.

Our report explains why previous proposals have been controversial. You’ll hear how the applicant has taken action to ensure planning approval with this new application.
