New Year, New Hobby – Enjoy Hands On ‘Tasters’ At Shaftesbury Library

If your resolution is to find a new pastime, Shaftesbury Library is hosting a series of inspiring hands on activity events.

The practical sessions include tracing your family tree with Shaftesbury and Gillingham U3A, spinning yarn with Claire Commons, knitting and crochet, and also Dorset button making with Donhead-based expert Anna McDowell. Yuko Leece will finish the six-week programme on the 16th of February with origami for children.

Next Saturday, 15th January, Cath Pratley of Cradle to Grave in Marnhull will show you how to make a willow bird feeder.

The event runs from 10am until 12noon. Librarian Suzi Judd explains why you should book in advance by calling 852256.
