Motcombe has relaunched its coronavirus community support service.
Last night, a group of seventy village volunteers agreed to start supporting self-isolating locals.
As Barney Mauleverer explains, the helpers are offering a lot more than grocery or prescription collection. They also offer dog walking and basic DIY.
Barney says he wants every resident to feel that somebody is looking out for them. The group is determined to make a 100th birthday special and has liaised with the relatives of single residents to deliver surprise gifts.
