Police officers evacuated parts of Twyford yesterday as bomb disposal experts dealt with a dangerous device.
Resident Bernard Weighell uncovered a WW1 German 76mm exploding gas shell cap. It was live. Bernard cleaned up his find, polishing it with emery paper before he realised what it was!
