Shaftesbury Care Home Praises Colleague Who Slept In A Tent To Protect Residents

The head of Cedars Castle Hill has praised a colleague for his sacrifice in serving the elderly residents in his care.

Jenny Davies discovered that a staff member was sleeping in a tent. He had made himself homeless, choosing to move out of his house after a fellow tenant was required to quarantine under COVID rules. The care worker wanted to keep fellow Castle Hill staff and residents safe from the virus.

This selfless act encouraged Jenny to create two bedsits and a kitchen at Castle Hill House, so staff can be accommodated in similar circumstances.
