This year’s main London Marathon event was cancelled because of COVID-19, but successful Shaftesbury area entrants were offered the chance to participate in a ‘virtual’ marathon locally yesterday.
Marie Glanville from Cann finished her run along the Ox Drove in 5 hours 26 minutes. Marie raised money for mental health charities Mind and Young Minds.
Bev Stopps walked 26 miles with her friend Naomi Culley and made £1,400 for Shaftesbury charity Hope.
