Shaftesbury Lorry-Ban Campaigners Demand Action After Ambulance Is Delayed By Blockage

Since 2004, HGVs have frequently become stuck on St John’s Hill. There have been complaints about inappropriately fast driving along the B3091 between St James Church and Guys Marsh, too.

Recently, an ambulance had to turn around because the road was blocked. Peter says this was ‘the last straw’.

His group will present their log of incidents to Shaftesbury Town Council next week. And Peter shares his proposals for stopping HGV traffic during our interview.
