Shaftesbury Man Hopes Video Will Help Promote Understanding Of Autism

A Shaftesbury man has helped to make a video that he hopes will give the public a better understanding of autism.

Sebastian Foreman volunteers with Campaign for Change, a self-advocacy group for people with learning disabilities. They made the video to celebrate Autism Pride Day on Saturday.

Sebastian hopes the film will discourage people from making sweeping generalisations. “If you’ve met one person with autism, you’ve met one person with autism,” says Sebastian.

In our Alfred interview, Sebastian tackles some of the preconceived ideas people have about autism. Watch the video here.
