Shaftesbury School Trials Virtual Reality Kit To Boost Mental Wellbeing

Parents of Shaftesbury School students will soon be able to try a virtual reality experience, which aims to boost mental well-being.

Lead teacher of innovation, Alex More, says the response from the ten students using the system has been ‘phenomenal’.

Users wear a VR headset for an immersive experience which encourages them to consider their breathing and mindfulness techniques. Alex says it is highly realistic, using 4k graphics.

Shaftesbury School is the only UK school road-testing this technology. Alex tells us why the school has been invited to trial this innovation.
