Staff at the Blackmore Vale GP Practice are upset by social media comments and complaints about their coronavirus safety measures and plans for a drive-through flu vaccination clinic at Henstridge airfield.
Managing partner Jane Dawes says some of these posts are offensive. There are genuine concerns, though. Some patients are uncomfortable with triaging of calls and the use of online consultations at Shaftesbury’s Abbey View Medical Centre.
Earlier this month, Melbury Abbas Parish Council discussed villagers’ challenges in accessing healthcare. Jane says her team has amended plans for the flu clinic following community feedback.
