Redrow Fail To Honour Promise To Reopen Blocked Shaftesbury Path By Weekend

The Shaftesbury to Motcombe stretch of the White Hart Link footpath has been blocked by Redrow who are developing a housing estate at Littledown.

Craige Burden, the planning manager for Redrow in the southern counties, spoke at Shaftesbury Town Council’s meeting on Tuesday night. He promised that the right-of-way would be reopened by the weekend of 14th of November. It wasn’t.

Notice advising public footpath users to find alternative route

Motcombe Parish councillor, Peter Mouncey, is disappointed. And the local Ramblers’ Association is annoyed. They have made an official complaint about the illegal barrier.
