Tennis coach Ian Griffin relocated his Shaftesbury Tennis Club to St Mary School. But then the independent school ceased trading.
Ian’s members and tennis students were left without court access, but he’s found a solution. Ian has wound up his business, formed a new commercial partnership with another tennis coach and, from today, his club will begin a trial merger with Donhead Sports Cub.
Ian says it will be a ‘win-win’ arrangement. He’s starting tennis courses for all ages next week but Ian is keen to find sponsors or donors who can fund facility improvements so more people can play at the Charlton courts.
