Shaftesbury Cricket Club Dedicates Pavilion To Long-Serving Volunteer

Terry Warder has given decades of service to Shaftesbury Cricket Club as the coach, groundsman, treasurer, chairman and club member.

On the 2nd of July, Terry turned up for the Friday night youth training session and he wasn’t surprised when committee member Tim Bradford said a few words. It was Terry 75th birthday, after all. But Terry wasn’t prepared for what happened next. The club has unveiled a plaque – they’ve named their pavilion after him.

Listen to Terry in conversation. During our chat he gives an example of his commitment to the club. He once returned home from holiday early because the team was a player short!
