The chairman of Shaftesbury Arts Centre is delighted that Dorset council has made a U-turn over the introduction of evening car parking fees.
Jenny Parker said that charging at Bell Street and Angel Lane between 6pm and 8pm would penalise Arts Centre visitors, crew and cast.

The proposal to charge for daytime Sunday parking will be introduced on 1st February.
