Shaftesbury Choir Celebrates ‘Apple Day’ With Song And Locally-Filmed Video

Thirty years ago, Shaftesbury residents Sue Clifford and Angela King founded Apple Day to celebrate local varieties.

Members of Shaftesbury’s Palida Choir have recorded a song, ‘Catch a Falling Star’, composed by Shaftesbury musician Karen Wimhurst to mark the anniversary. The video features 22 local singers performing and enjoying apples.

It includes footage from private gardens and orchards at Springhead, Berwick St John and Rolt Millennium Green.
