The landlords of Shaftesbury’s Ye Olde Two Brewers Inn have reacted to Dorset Council’s review of their pub licence.
A neighbour has complained about noise, stating that a live music venue is inappropriate for a ‘quiet historic residential neighbourhood’. The complainant says events like the recent Fringe gigs were too loud and music attendees can be ‘rowdy’ and can create a ‘threatening and anti-social atmosphere’.
Chris Henson-Ball says they have bought the business expecting to operate under current licence rules. “If the business model is not going to work, what’s the point of us staying here?” says Chris.
