Shaftesbury business owner Shirley Allum has objected to the daytime High Street road closure, introduced on 15th June. Shirley says she is losing trade because people can’t park outside her womenswear shop.
One of Shirley’s disabled customers will no longer drive up from Devon because she can’t park outside the store.
Shirley says the businesses supporting the temporary car-free High Street project and reporting increased footfall are ‘at the other end of town’. She’s proposing a solution.
