A Plant For Winter Pollinators With Brigit Strawbridge Howard

Alfred visits Shaftesbury wildlife writer Brigit Strawbridge Howard as she presents her November nature notes from her French Mill Lane garden.

Brigit tells us how to help seed-eating birds by retaining the seed heads of flowers. She is preparing her lawn for 2021 by sowing yellow rattle seed. She explains how she ‘scarifies’ the ground.
