Make Fewer Trips To The Tip Says Compton Abbas’ Upcycling Expert

Tim Kerridge with his washing machine drum fire pit

If you want inspiration on how to repurpose unwanted materials that you’d otherwise take to the dump, Compton Abbas resident Tim Kerridge can help. Last year Tim’s transformation of a farmer’s unwanted grain silo made the final of the ‘Shed of the Year’ contest.

Tim reckons most ‘rubbish’ can be upcycled. He tells Alfred about his home-made fire pit and offers tips on rummaging through skips to find material to re-use.
