Gold Hill Museum Reopens And Celebrates The Ad That Made Shaftesbury Famous

Gold Hill Museum reopens today.

Chairman Elaine Barratt tells Alfred that the museum was only open for a short period in 2020 because of COVID-19. The committee has decided to repeat the Hovis exhibition, which tells the story of the 1973 Ridley Scott TV commercial which made Gold Hill even more famous. Visitors can enjoy video footage played on a new display system funded by a recent grant.
