Town Council Extends Loan Of Train Nameplate Insured At Over £30k To Gold Hill Museum

There’s an unexpected item on the wall of Shaftesbury’s Gold Hill Museum – a railway locomotive plate named after our town.

Chairman Elaine Barratt shares more about its history and the surprise costs involved in displaying this piece of railway history.
