Authorities Prepare For Dorset’s Busiest Summer – But Rail Changes Could Clog County Roads

Dorset Police are expecting their busiest summer on record and they say they will increase patrols in key areas in order to keep people safe.

But as we head into a busy half term week, Dorset Council is unhappy that South Western Railway has halved its services between London and Weymouth. Cllr Ray Bryan has written to the Secretary of State. Ray is concerned this will increase road traffic and the use of cars is not in line with the Dorset Council climate change policy.
