Dorset Council has granted permission for a controversial home on St James’ Street.
There were 38 objections to these plans for a single storey, 2-bedroom green sandstone house next to Rolt Millennium Green.
The Town Council opposed this plan to replace two garages with a residential property. Several objectors claimed the plot was too small or that development was not appropriate for this site.
The planning inspector had previously stated that a house could be built on this plot. And Dorset Council planners believed that the applicant’s latest design was appropriate.
