Developer Can’t Use Faster Planning Process For New Homes In Cann

Dorset Council planners have ruled that a developer cannot ‘fast track’ a proposal to transform agricultural buildings into five homes.

The buildings at Southbank Farm in Cann would require substantial work, rather than the quick conversion permitted under rules that allow the re-use of unused farm buildings. The applicant will need to submit a regular application.

The site is adjacent to land where the developer wants to build up to 30 homes and a shop.
