Dorset Planners Approve Housing Development Next To Shaftesbury Fire Station

Shaftesbury Town Council has objected to proposals to build homes on the site of a former glove factory on Wincombe Lane, next to Shaftesbury fire station.

The previous proposal for six properties was resubmitted for three homes and two flats. The Town Council felt access onto Christy’s Lane would present an issue. And they felt that residents would be disturbed by the noise of the factory opposite.

Dorset planners didn’t agree.
