There’s been a marked increase in the number of coronavirus cases within the Dorset Council area this week.
On Thursday evening, an online presentation by Public Health Dorset revealed how many COVID-19 patients are in hospital in the county.
Director of public health Sam Crowe reported that several care home workers have also tested positive. He also offers an insight into how locals appear to be catching the virus.
The chief executive of Dorset Council, Matt Prosser, responds to calls for the county to close its borders to prevent transmission from visitors.
