Elections will take place on 6th May in both Dorset and Wiltshire.
The chief executive of Wiltshire Council wants residents to try and vote by post as it reduces face-to-face contact during the pandemic. Wiltshire electors will be able to vote for unitary councillors and for parish councils. They include Berwick St John, East Knoyle, Sedgehill and Semley, Donhead St Mary and Donhead St Andrew parishes.
Both Dorset and Wiltshire are holding an election for Police and Crime Commissioners.
In Shaftesbury, residents will be able to vote in favour or against the introduction of the Shaftesbury Neighbourhood Plan. There will be a referendum on the blueprint for future development. A by-election has also been called for the West ward of Shaftesbury Town Council. The position became vacant when Julian Prichard resigned last year.
