Weymouth Councillor Questions St Mary’s Shaftesbury Purchase By Dorset Council

A Weymouth Town councillor has questioned Dorset Council’s £10m purchase of St Mary’s Shaftesbury School.

Cllr Lucy Hamilton wants the money spent on a Special Educational Needs facility within the county, rather than in Wiltshire. And she would like provision nearer the main Dorset population centres.

St Mary’s School

The leader of Dorset Council has responded, as you’ll hear. A public consultation on the future use of St Mary’s opens on 4th February.
