Semley and Sedgehill Parish Council has welcomed an application to expand the Chaldicott Estate by adding two new industrial buildings.
The proposed development will add 650sqm of working space. The applicant wants to build a two-storey industrial unit towards the northern end of the estate as a production and office area for Juliet Stallwood Biscuits. The business started in Semley as a hobby, 15 years ago. The firm has grown to employ eight staff. The expansion would create an additional eight jobs.
Rotron Power tests aeronautical components, including pilot helmets. They need a new, single-storey office. Chairman of the Parish Council, David Curless, says councillors were supportive of these plans.
