Shaftesbury Town Council Sets Aside £40k For New High Street Pop-Up Shop

Shaftesbury Town Council has agreed to £40,000 funding for a retail space – a pop-up shop.

Cllr Piers Brown says his colleagues have been inspired by the success of the previous temporary stores hosted in empty High Street units. “The vision is slightly closer to the Swan’s Yard starter unit,” Piers said.

Cllr Brown says this project should encourage entrepreneurial locals to gain their first experience of retailing. It will also provide a town centre space to showcase local arts and special events.
