Rupert Walts mastered seafood cookery when he trained as a chef at Rick Stein’s restaurant in Padstow. But Rupert prefers the fun, informal setting of festivals.
Recently, he’s been serving up colourful and spicy Mexican-inspired soul food at events from Anglesey to East Anglia. Now, Rupert’s come home to Shaftesbury to launch a new pop-up dining experience – The Smoking Jalapeno.
He’s using Angola 76’s facilities for this five-month ‘kitchen takeover’. You can enjoy his food at the bar tonight and from tomorrow (Friday) he launches a home delivery service operating Wednesday to Sunday. You can see the menu at thesmokingjalapeno.co.uk.
