Shaftesbury restauranteur and hotelier, David Griffin-Shepherd, is concerned about our town’s small businesses during this period of ‘lockdown lite’.
David says many national multiples are open in larger towns. He understands that furloughed locals are driving out to shop at shopping malls and retail parks because many of our town’s independent traders have been forced to shut.
David explains how he adapted his restaurant meals for home delivery and the challenges he has overcome in reinventing the business. He is hoping for clearer instructions on how hospitality businesses can operate if, and when, the current restrictions are relaxed on 2nd December.
