At least three Shaftesbury area pubs will be offering discounts inspired by the Chancellor’s ‘Eat Out to Help Out’ deal, when the government subsidy ends today.
The landlady of the Ludwell’s Grove Arms and Shaftesbury’s Half Moon pub, Nina Bartlett, tells Alfred that the scheme was so successful, ‘our trade literally tripled overnight.’
The owner of East Stour’s Kings Arms, Ciaran Holmes, says his pub experienced ‘record’ Monday to Wednesday takings. Ciaran will join Nina in reducing prices in an effort to maintain a high level of dining trade.
