Environmental Campaigner Says Town Council Needs To Publicise Climate Emergency Actions

Dorset Council is responsible for 250,000 trees along its highways. They replace trees which must be felled for safety reasons. Now the council will plant two trees for each tree removed.

Rachel Bodle of Planet Shaftesbury welcomes the move but warns that this ‘two for one’ offer oversimplifies the climate emergency-inspired response. And Rachel wants Shaftesbury Town Council to tell the community how they are fulfilling their commitment to respond to the climate emergency.
